What is laser therapy?
Laser Therapy is a medical treatment that uses focused light to stimulate a process called photobiomodulation (PBM). During PBM, photons enter the tissue and trigger a biological cascade of events that leads to an increase in cellular metabolism, which can decrease pain and inflammation and accelerate the healing process.

Laser therapy is used to treat accute and chronic conditions as well as post-activity recovery.
When treating acute conditions with laser therapy, it is particularly effective when it is administered as soon as possible following injury. With chronic conditions, laser therapy is used most often to help combat persistent pain and inflammation. To aid in post-activity recovery, LightForce Lasers are used by over 250 pro, college, and Olympic sports teams across the United States and many parts of Europe and East Asia.

Class IV Laser Information
Class IV Laser is scientifically proven to reduce pain and inflammation and accelerate the healing process for certain tissues through increased cellular metabolism. Appropriate doses of the light energy are delivered to effectively reduce pain without negatively impacting your body’s natural healing process. Laser treatments are safe to use over implants/hardware that you may have.
Treatment sessions are fast, safe and painless and are completed in 4-10 minutes. Often, patients experience great results in just a few sessions. Laser therapy is administered directly to skin, it delivers a gentle warmth that many patients describe as soothing and relaxing. We provide eyewear during your treatment to protect your eyes from the laser while treatment is being administered.
A patient’s current condition and response to the treatments determines how many treatments will be needed. Most patients will receive 6-12 treatments with the possibility of receiving more treatments for conditions that are considered chronic. For best results, a series of treatments is recommended, but some patients see results immediately.
Network insurances typically do NOT reimburse laser treatments, despite the codes that can be submitted for service.
